Christmas Opening Hours

We are opening on Boxing Day between 11am and 3pm for mulled wine and mince pies. All friends and customers are welcome to join us.
We shall be open as usual on Christmas Eve and the weekend after Christmas and thereafter every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday as normal.

Remembrance Sunday

This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday and Hull Model Boat Club will be putting on a re-enactment of the evacuation from Dunkirk.
Two minutes silence will be observed at 11-o-clock.  Everyone is invited to attend.

Grand Halloween Party

This years Halloween Party will be held on Saturday October 25th from 6pm onwards.
As usual there will be fun and games, a ghost trail, best pumpkin competition and Hull Model Boat Club will be there with all their boats lit up. Kelsey Paddlers will also be on the water with their kayaks lit up.
There will be the usual barbecue and hot and cold drinks.
So why not wrap up and get yourself down to Kelsey Gardens for this popular annual event - fancy dress would be a welcome bonus.

Autumn at Kelsey Gardens

Now that the kids have gone back to school the cafe and canoe hire have reverted back to opening on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesdays only, other days by arrangement.

Craig lands the big one

In the early hours of Saturday morning Craig Hobson landed this fine Carp known as Terry. It weighed in at 30 lbs.  Craig had to get Ian up at 2am to take these photos.

Well not quite but we are open every day during the school holidays between 11am and 6pm for all activities and refreshments. Hope to see you.
Just a reminder that this Sunday, the 27th July we will be holding the Kelsey Gardens leg of the Yorkshire Sprint Series. See previous blog for details.

Yorkshire Sprint Series - Change of date

Unfortunately due to the unavailability of the canoes we have had to postpone this event at short notice for which we apologise.
The new date is Sunday 27th July 2014

A series of four sprint regattas are being held in Yorkshire aimed at getting people interested in sprint racing.

Races will be held over 50m, 100m and 200m with Adult and Youth categories

Annual Spring Splash - this weekend

The Annual Spring Splash will take place this weekend, the 3rd and 4th of May 2014.
If you've always fancied a go at kayaking or canoeing come along and have a free session with the experts on hand to guide you. Full safety equipment supplied.
Various other activities will be taking place and there will be the usual hot and cold drinks and meals available all day.

Annual Cordless Power Tool Challenge

News update for Kelsey Gardens

Kelsey Paddlers are now meeting at 6pm on Tuesday as well as 9am on Saturday.  If you are interested in canoeing or kayaking why not come along and give it a try. Qualified instructors are in attendance.

Open Water Swimming   This is a new venture so if you fancy a go we will be operating as soon as the water is warm enough on Saturday morning at 9am and Thursday evenings at 6pm.

Hull Model Boat Club continues with its meets on Wednesdays and Saturdays and visitors are always welcome.

Fishing every day on North Lake between 8am and 8pm, or dusk if sooner.

The Snack Bar is open every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday for hot and cold food and drinks.

Easter Weekend  We will be open on all four days for our usual activities and the snack bar will of course be open.
On the Saturday and Sunday we will be having our annual Cordless Power Tool Canoe Challenge.  Full details on the blog very soon.
